Last updated 15 October 2026. WAVZ is made by Nick Saulino. This page describes what the WAVZ apps and the wavz.us website collect.
The WAVZ apps for Android and iPhone collect nothing about you. There are no accounts and no sign-in, no ads, no tracking, and no analytics inside the apps.
Your settings stay on your device: the frame you chose, your volume levels, the scene you last had open, and which scenes' sound you have downloaded. If your phone backs its apps up to your own Google or Apple account, that backup is made by the phone's own system, not by WAVZ.
Every scene is drawn on your device. Nothing about what you watch, or for how long, is sent anywhere.
A scene set as your wallpaper, your screen saver or a home-screen widget is drawn on your phone by the app itself, the same way the app draws it, and nothing about it leaves the phone.
On iPhone, when you save a scene as a picture or a Live Photo, the app adds that one picture to your photos. It asks your permission first, it only adds, and it never looks at or reads the photos you already have.
A scene's music and ambience are files the app fetches from WAVZ's own storage (cdn.wavz.us, hosted by Cloudflare) the first time they are needed, and then keeps on your device. As with any download, the server sees the internet address the request came from and which file was asked for. WAVZ does not use those records to identify anyone and does not combine them with anything else.
The apps are bought through Google Play or the App Store, and the store handles the payment. WAVZ never receives your payment details.
wavz.us uses Google Analytics to count its visits: which pages were opened, roughly where in the world from, and on what kind of device and browser. Google sets cookies to do this.
Your choices on the site, such as the frame, the volumes, the track last played and its settings, are kept in your own browser and never leave it. The site's sound comes from the same storage as the apps'.
WAVZ is not directed at children under 13, and it does not knowingly collect anything from them or from anyone else.
If any of this changes, this page changes with it and the date at the top is updated.
